This victim of the 1970 Kent State University shootings died along with fellow students Sandra Lee Scheuer, Allison Krause, and William Knox Schroeder. The students were killed by members of the Ohio National Guard who were occupying the Kent State campus as a result of a student-organized Vietnam War protest.
