Graduated from Anchor Bay High School in New Baltimore, Michigan in 1992. Worked with the late Anchor Bay High School drama director Joseph P. Abell on productions such as "The Mouse That Roared" (1990), "You Can`t Take It With You" (1991), "Up The Down Staircase" (1992), and "Fame" (1992). Earned her BFA in musical theater from Western State Michigan University.
