Maeve Anne Quinlan (born November 16, 1964 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American actress and former professional tennis player.
Graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Southern California where she majored in theatre and political science earning a full-ride tennis scholarship and held All-American honors. She was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority house. Turned pro after graduation and was ranked among the top105 women in the world in tennis, playing at the French Open and v*rginia Slims Tour. It was a USC drama professor who urged Quinlan to quit the tour and become a professional actress.
Quinlan entered the professional tennis circuit at age 16, appearing in several major tournaments and eventually reaching seed position #95 in world rankings, which earned her full scholarship to both USC and Northwestern universities, where she studied theater. After an injury, she quit tennis and pursued an acting career, starting with parts in commercials for Nike and Gatorade[3].
Resides in Los Angeles with her beloved golden retriever, Seamus. Maeve's family resides in Dublin Ireland, Wicklow Ireland and Chicago.
