On April 20th, 2006, accosted a flight attendant while en route from the Netherlands to Miami, USA. Upon landing, she resisted arrest, hitting a policeman and was charged with battery, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. After a high profile arrest for assault, Elite Model Management changed her official booking name to Lykke May. (Lykke being her first name, May being her middle name). Spent 4 days in jail in Miami, Florida before being deported by U.S. Customs officials back to the Netherlands. Is the official spokesperson for the Danish Tourist Board. May`s picture is used alongside the caption "Who doesn`t like a Dane?" Underwent Anger management classes as part of a plea deal to avoid going to trial for misdemeanor battery and assault charges.
