In 2002, she had her navel pierced especially for her role as Natasha Wilson in the movie Octane. Once filming was completed, she removed the piercing and let the hole close up again. Some fans of the The O.C. were furious at Mischa for revealing in an interview on Access Hollywood that her character, Marissa Cooper, died in the season finale, some hours before it aired. In 2006, while making a promotional appearance on Japanese TV, she helped out with a couple of magic tricks. The first was a card trick, while in the second, she was sawed in half in an illusion called Clearly Impossible. The name Mischa is Russian/Polish for Michael and is genrally used as a boys name, but her parents liked the name.

Mischa`s mom is Irish and her dad comes from Manchester, England. She has two sisters: Zoe and Hania.

Mischa had a quite embarrassing moment... In the episode The Anger Management from The O.C., her nipple showed for a split second. Many fans of the show were outraged, and the FCC was called to investigate.

In February 2007, Mischa crashed Nicole Richie`s car. After dropping Nicole off at a tanning salon, Mischa bumped Nicole`s car into another. Mischa exchanged insurance details with the couple in the other car, before quickly moving on.

Prior to the start of filming for The Beautiful Life, she agreed to have her ears pierced for the first time in her life. She had them done especially so that she could, when required for scenes such as fashion shows, wear the same type of pierced earrings as the other female cast members also playing models.

Mischa`s bosses on The O.C. were reportedly displeased with her as she often turned up late to work after partying all night.

Mischa appeared in James Blunt`s music video Goodbye My Lover.

Most of Mischa`s roles before The O.C. were R-rated, and usually involved sex, drugs, alcohol, horror, and homosexuality. She admits that she likes the "edgier" roles.

Although Mischa has had pierced ears since the middle of 2009, she only rarely wears earrings. Because she doesn't wear earrings very often, the holes in her earlobes can be quite difficult to see if she hasn't worn earrings for a while. (tv.com)
